TL;DR
- ChatGPT Dots cannot connect to Search Console out of the box. There is no native Google plugin.
- Add the Metaflow plugin in ChatGPT. Hand query and page questions to Metaflow. Do not paste a third-party GSC MCP URL.
- Metaflow reads queries, pages, clicks, impressions, CTR, and position from the connected workspace. Sitemap and robots changes wait for you.
- Use this only if the Dot decision says the loop recurs.
Can you connect natively?
No. OpenAI's plugin list includes HubSpot, Canva, Shopify, Klaviyo, Slack, and Teams. It does not include Search Console.
The working path is Metaflow: content-led growth and SEO automation. Pair it with Google Analytics.
What you need
| Requirement | Why |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT plan with Dots | The plugin rides on the ChatGPT account. |
| Search Console access | Verified user on the property. |
| Metaflow workspace | The live read happens there. |
| Settings → Apps | Add Metaflow once. |
Steps
- Confirm the property is available to the Metaflow SEO job.
- Add Metaflow in ChatGPT Settings → Apps.
- Brief the Dot:
You cannot see Search Console on your own. Hand SEO questions to Metaflow.
- Read queries, pages, CTR, and position through Metaflow.
- Flag pages that dropped out of the index or lost CTR.
- Do not submit sitemaps or edit robots.txt. Draft the change and wait.
Start now: which query lost CTR this week?- Test: "What are the top 10 queries by impressions in the last 28 days?" Live numbers mean the plugin is working.
What Metaflow reads vs what waits
| Action | Metaflow | You |
|---|---|---|
| Queries, pages, clicks, impressions, CTR, position | Reads | — |
| Decay, cannibalization, index gaps | Drafts | Decide the fix |
| Sitemap submit, robots, live title tags | Does not ship | You approve |
